I had once a room
With a view to the moon
Who smiled through the night
But never stayed true.
So I traveled far
Searched the bottom of seas
Hoped to find
Road to my dreams.
Hope then was a kite,
Bright patch on the skies.
Soared so high,
It never touched ground.
But summer moved on,
Sweet rains going south
And vagabond heart
Stopped for a while.
Now ochre and reds
Weaving smoky dreams
Sang me lullabies
In hollow hills.
So I sent the prayers,
Whispers of light -
Up through the clouds
To stars high above.
And there was answer,
Amused and kind -
For there was home
And always, love.
